Product Development
Stokvis customers are constantly designing and developing new products. We enjoy being involved in such development at the early stage of design as this ensures that we are able to meet our customer’s needs in terms of speed to market, product performance, quality and cost. We are able to test our customer’s materials in combination with our own adhesive tape solutions and provide speedy feedback after evaluating the tapes according to the needs of the application. Such testing may involve adhesion, tack, shear, ageing performance, UV light, temperature, flammability resistance etc.
Stokvis are able to slit, perforate, laminate two or more substrates and die cut products so that they are in the most suitable format for use by our customers and by their customers. In most cases Stokvis are able to meet application needs with one or more of the 3,500 products available within our Group. However, occasionally we need to develop specific products for our customers as standard tapes do not meet their needs. Such development may mean coating standard carriers/backings with specific adhesive types, using specific release liners or laminating two or more products to make a thicker, more durable or higher tensile product than a standard construction may offer. So, if a standard tape doesn’t meet your needs Stokvis will develop one that will.
